Biography
Daniel Gaciu – Visionary Artist of the Surreal and Abstract
Daniel Gaciu is an artist born in 1989 in Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania, involved in many art directions like painting, drawing, street art, sculpture. In 2010 he went to study at the university “Design Academy Eindhoven” for three years, but he left the studies and returned to Bucharest where he is currently living since then. In 2014 he started to paint on canvas with acrylics and also started to draw with pencils and ink on paper.
He is a mixed media enthusiast, so he likes to create art from and on any type of material!
In 2024, Daniel Gaciu celebrated 10 years of painting and drawing. Through these years he approached many styles in his searchings, but the surreal, the abstract and the visionary would define the best his discoveries. His art is without limits, symbolic, mystical, full of elements, chaotic, dreamy, a reminder of the sacred veil of reality, metaphysical.
Daniel started to paint graffiti on the streets of Bucharest since teenage and he currently does murals and street art with an abstract touch.
He is passionate about graphic design since teenage and during his studies in Netherlands he created objects following his designs.
Within time, Daniel created in many workspaces in Bucharest that represented bricks in his evolution, and he currently owns an atelier in the center of the city. Here, people can come visit his little private gallery, and can admire his paintings and drawings.
